Startup bug Empty
PostSubject: Startup bug   Startup bug Icon_minitimeThu Jan 07, 2010 11:28 am

Hi, this looks like a really nice piece of work. Unfortunately, I'm getting the following error after clicking 'ok' on the splash screen (whether I'm running as administrator or not).

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

To add to this, I've now installed it on my home PC and it's working ok. Maybe connected with running Vista 64 bit on the other one?

Solved it by downloading and installing both Windows XP mode, and Windows Virtual PC, from here:

And then installing the Meta-Analyst software on the Virtual PC.

There seems to be a bug in this interface that makes URLs invisible. Just Google for "windows xp mode" and you'll find the Microsoft downloads.

Am I to assume that there is no other fix for running the program in Windows 7 other than downloading XP?
