MetaRegression and Odds Ratios

I am trying a meta-regression on binary data from a series of single-arm trials. MetaAnalyst lets me do that, but it produces a plot with the vertical axis labeled "Odds Ratio". I don't understand the sense in which the results can be given in the form of an odds ratio. What would be reference group be?
