Windows 7 compatibility

Can anybody tell me how to make the program run with windows 7 if at all ? I have tried changing all the different settings and still doesn't work. There is a pop-up window partially opening, where I can barely seen a message about "running in windows vista" eventhough the settings have been changed to running in compatible mode windows 7.
